Dr. Matt Jensen is fueled by a deep passion for connecting with people and the natural world. Whether sharing stories around a campfire in rural Africa or witnessing the quiet majesty of elephants crossing the savannah, he finds meaning in the moments that bring humans closer to one another and to nature. His work is rooted in the belief that true fulfillment comes not from titles or accolades, but from shared experiences and authentic relationships—especially those formed in the wild, untamed places of the world. This passion led him to build a company that brings others into that same space of wonder, connection, and purpose.

While trained as a pediatric dentist with degrees from Brigham Young University, Nova Southeastern University, and the University of Rochester, Dr. Jensen found his greatest fulfillment outside the clinic—serving rural communities and exploring the beauty of East Africa.

He founded Tapestry of Africa Tours and Safaris as a way to share life-changing safari experiences while supporting the humanitarian mission of the Dental Outreach Relief Foundation, which he co-founded with his wife.
